Every GO setup for Le Mans Ultimate follows a standard naming convention. Understanding it lets you quickly identify exactly what each file is for.
The naming format
LMU setup names follow this structure:
GO [Game Version] [Car] [Class] [Track] [Type] [Variant] [Setup Version]
For example: GO 1.3.2 499P HYP BRN Q Safe V2
What each part means
GO identifies this as a GO Setups file.
Game Version (e.g. 1.3.2) is the LMU game version the setup was built for. This tells you whether the setup was created for the current physics model.
Car (e.g. 499P) is the car model. Names are abbreviated: 499P is the Ferrari 499P, 963 is the Porsche 963, and so on.
Class (e.g. HYP) is the car class. In LMU this is typically HYP (Hypercar), LMP2, GT3, or GTE.
Track (e.g. BRN) is the track abbreviation. BRN is Bahrain, LMS is Le Mans, SPA is Spa-Francorchamps; Track abbreviations might include the alternative layout within the name: BRNend is ''Bahrain Endurance'' PAR1A is Paul Ricard 1A and so on.
Type indicates whether the setup is for Qualifying (Q) Race (R) or Endurance races (Endu).
Variant describes the setup style. Common variants include Esport (maximum performance), Safe (more forgiving and stable) and Wet (For all the rain conditions). For a full breakdown of all setup types, see What's Included in the LMU Bundles?.
Setup Version (e.g. V2) is the revision number. A higher number means a more recent update. Always use the latest version unless you specifically prefer an older one.
