Answers to the questions we hear most from new users. If you have just purchased, start with the 5-Minute Setup Guide to get up and running quickly.
How do I get setups into my sim?
The fastest way is with GO Fast. Once installed, it can place setups directly into your sim's setup folder with one click, or the Auto-Installer can do it automatically when you join a session (subscribers only). You can also download setups manually from the GO Setups website and place them yourself. See the 5-Minute Setup Guide for a full walkthrough of both methods.
Do I need GO Fast?
No, but it makes everything much easier. Without GO Fast you can still download setups from the website and install them manually. With GO Fast you get one click installs, the Auto-Installer, plus access to Race Engineer, Setup Optimiser, Fuel Calculator, Tyre Pressure Tool, and Leaderboards. See Free vs Paid for a full comparison.
What is the difference between a subscription and a bundle?
Subscribers get access to the full setup library across all supported sims, unlimited downloads (for iRacing and AMS2), and all GO Fast features including the Auto-Installer. Bundle owners get the setups included in their specific bundle with download limits. Both can use GO Fast to install setups. See Subscription vs Bundle Access for a detailed breakdown.
Which setup should I use first?
Start with a Race setup (labelled R in the filename). These are built for stability, consistency, and tyre life over a full stint. Once you are comfortable, try the Qualifying variant (Q) for more outright pace. Some setups also come in Safe and Esport variants. See What Is the Difference Between E/S and Q/R in Setup Names? for a full explanation.
What do the setup file names mean?
Every GO setup follows a naming convention that tells you the game version, car, class, track, type, and variant. The format differs slightly between sims. See the naming guide for your sim:

Do setups work out of the box?
Yes. Every GO setup is tested and validated by our engineers using real telemetry data. They are ready to use immediately. The only thing you may want to adjust is tyre pressures based on the ambient and track temperature in your session. The Auto Pressure feature in GO Fast can handle this for you automatically.
Can I modify a GO setup?
Absolutely. Our setups are a starting point. If you prefer a different feel, adjust the setup to suit your driving style. The setup files are standard game files and can be edited in the sim's garage. You can also use the Setup Optimiser to get data driven suggestions based on your own driving.
How often are setups updated?
It depends on the sim. iRacing setups are released weekly following the official schedule rotation. See When Are iRacing Setups Released Each Week? for the exact timing. Other sims (ACC, LMU, AMS2, AC) are updated when the game receives physics patches, BOP changes, or when our engineers improve the setups. See iRacing Setup Updates and Releases for more detail.
What sims are supported?
GO Setups covers iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), Le Mans Ultimate (LMU), Automobilista 2 (AMS2), and Assetto Corsa (AC). GO Fast supports all of these sims. See What Sims Are Supported in GO Fast? for the full list.
Can I use GO setups on console?
Console does not support direct setup file imports. If you play ACC or AC on console, you can use the GO Setup Viewer to read the values and enter them manually in game. See How Can I Use GO Setups on Console (ACC)? or How Can I Use Setups on Console (AC)? for step by step instructions.
I have hit my download limit. What do I do?
Download limits apply to subscribers only. For ACC, LMU, and AC, subscribers are limited to 30 downloads per month and 10 per day. iRacing and AMS2 have unlimited downloads for subscribers. If you have reached your limit, you can wait for it to reset. Bundle and one-off purchase owners have no download limits. You have full access to your purchased setups for 365 days, including any updates released during that period, after which access expires. See Download Limit Reached for more information.
