Every GO setup for Automobilista 2 follows a standard naming convention. Understanding it lets you quickly identify exactly what each file is for.
The naming format
AMS2 setup names follow this structure:
GO [Car] [Class] [Track] [Variant] [Type] [Setup Version]
What each part means
GO identifies this as a GO Setups file.
Car is the car model abbreviation.
Class is the car class, such as GT3, GT4, or the specific series class.
Track is the track abbreviation.
Type indicates whether the setup is for Qualifying (Q) or Race (R).
Variant describes the setup style. Common variants include Esport (maximum performance) and Safe (more forgiving and stable).
Setup Version (e.g. V2) is the revision number. A higher number means a more recent update. Always use the latest version unless you specifically prefer an older one.
