A Hybrid setup in Assetto Corsa Competizione is a configuration designed to work well across a range of conditions rather than being optimised for a single specific scenario. GO Setups uses the term to describe setups that balance performance across varying conditions, including changes in weather, temperature, fuel load, and tyre state throughout a stint.
Hybrid setups are exclusive to ACC.
When to use a Hybrid setup
Hybrid setups are most useful when conditions are likely to change during a session. This includes races where weather may shift between dry and wet, sessions with significant temperature variation, or longer stints where fuel burn and tyre degradation alter the car balance over time.
Rather than being tuned for one narrow window of conditions, a Hybrid setup aims to remain manageable and competitive across multiple scenarios. This makes it a strong choice when you want predictable handling without needing to switch between separate configurations as conditions evolve.
Hybrid vs other setup types
A Qualifying (Q) setup is tuned for maximum single-lap pace at low fuel. It may feel aggressive or difficult to manage in a race. A Race (R) setup is built for a full stint but optimised for a specific fuel and tyre window. A Hybrid setup sits between these, giving up some peak pace in exchange for broader consistency across changing conditions throughout the race distance.
