In ACC, tyre temperatures are measured as core temperatures at operating conditions. The target core temperature for GT3 tyres is approximately 70°C across all four wheels. This is the temperature range at which the Pirelli tyres modelled in ACC produce peak grip.
Why temperature matters
Tyre core temperature directly affects the grip level available. Below the optimal range, tyres will feel cold and greasy with reduced lateral and longitudinal grip. Above the optimal range, degradation increases and the tyre becomes inconsistent. Running consistently in the 65 to 80°C window is the goal.
What affects tyre temperature
Camber settings, tyre pressures, driving style, ambient temperature, and track temperature all influence how quickly tyres reach and maintain temperature. GO setups are built to reach this window in the standard ACC setup conditions (23° air, 28° track).
Checking temperatures in session
Tyre temperatures are visible in the MoTeC overlay or via the in-game display. If your temperatures are consistently outside the 65 to 80°C range, adjustments to camber or pressure are the most effective levers to explore.
