All GO iRacing setups and reference laps are built and recorded using a standardised set of weather conditions for each week and series. We primarily use VRS weather data as a reference, though we may also create our own conditions when VRS data is not available. The goal is to keep conditions consistent so that lap times are equally comparable across the board.
Why standardised conditions matter
iRacing tyre models respond to temperature and track conditions. A setup built for a warm dry week will behave differently in a cold or wet week. By using a consistent set of conditions, our setups and reference times remain relevant and predictable for your sessions.
Reference laps
Reference laps are completed at race fuel weight to match what you will experience at the start of a stint. This gives you a realistic comparison point. If you are running low fuel qualifying laps, expect to be faster than the reference time.
Weekly updates
Because conditions change each week, setups and reference laps are updated alongside each new release. The GO laptime sheet in GO Fast shows the current week reference times and the conditions they were set in.
