Setup filenames include version numbers such as 01, 02, 03, and so on. A higher number means a more recently released version of that setup. This is how GO communicates that a setup has been updated since it was first published.
What causes a version update
A setup may be updated for several reasons. The most common triggers are a BOP or physics change from the game developer that affects how the car handles, or an internal review by our engineers who identify performance improvements during testing. In both cases, the updated setup gets a new version number.
Which version should I use
Always use the highest version number available. This is the latest and most refined version of the setup. Older versions remain in the bundle in case you prefer a previous feel, but the highest-numbered setup is the one our engineers currently recommend.
Personal preference
If you tried an earlier version and preferred how it felt, there is nothing wrong with sticking with it. Setup preference is personal. The version numbers are a guide to what is newest, not a requirement to always use the latest.
